Attraction Marketing – What is it and is it Really Worth Applying?

Attraction marketing is fast becoming the premiere form of marketing online. But what is it and how does it work?

A loose definition of attraction marketing would be: The use of marketing techniques specifically designed to teach the customer what you are doing and how a service or product will benefit them well before they purchase it. In this short article, I want to BRIEFLY go into some of the dynamics of how attraction marketing works and how you can apply it to your network marketing business.

1. Build Trust At The Beginning Of The Process – Attraction marketing works best when you establish trust with your prospect BEFORE “selling” them on your opportunity or product. Establishing trust and giving a ton of value can be done several ways. Using social media websites like Facebook and YouTube is a fantastic way of connecting with people and sharing your personality with them. Another great way of sharing information and value with people is writing articles and submitting them to article directories. A blog, or personal website, is also a fine way of letting people get to know you.

2. Establish Yourself As An Expert – You need to become the expert that your target prospect is searching for. Keep in mind that most people are looking for leadership and value. If they see that in you, you will attract people like a magnet. In many cases, you will become a source of continuous information for them which can potentially turn them into leads for your business.

3. Pipeline Marketing – Building a funnel whereby you can take people/leads through a process of getting to know you, feeling comfortable with you, establishing trust, sharing value, etc. and, every now and then, dropping low-key information about your business is one of the most important features of attraction marketing. The beautiful thing about pipeline marketing is, done consistently and properly, you can potentially have hundreds (or even thousands) of leads flowing through the different phases of your funnel. Would you have a problem sponsoring 5+ people a month into your business if you had HUNDREDS of people in your pipeline?

Remember, people DON’T join BUSINESSES… They join PEOPLE! Once you understand that, you’ll see the value of attraction marketing as opposed to the “old-school” method of PUSHING your business on someone who may not even be interested in starting a business.
